White Rhododendron

Rhododendron albiflorum
ERICACEAE, The Heather family

Along the Pacific Crest Trail and other paths in the Goat Rocks Wilderness in Gifford Pinchot National Forest, these deciduous rhoddies were in full bloom. The small bell-shaped flowers reminded me of some of the cultivated varieties such as ‘Bow Bells’ or ‘Cilpenense’.

About Mulysa

I love my work as a landscape designer and artist. When I'm not planning homesteads or working in the studio, you'll find me hiking, photographing, gardening, baking, cooking vegetarian meals with friends, reading and working on sustainability issues...with my baby on my hip in Portland, Oregon.
