Plant buying

Artemisia lactiflora ‘Guizhou’, Wormwood
ASTERACEAE, The Aster family

Not my usual role. But they aren’t even for me really, they are for Michael’s garden. It is wintertime and things are ON SALE. I also picked out:

Blue leaf rose Rosa glauca
Angel’s fishing rod Dierama pulcherima
Coast silk tassel Garry elliptica
Purple leaf grape Vitis purpurea

The wormwood is one I have been eyeing for a while. It will go perfectly in a garden that has silver and purple leaved plants. It is a tall perennial with reddish purple stems and cream colored flowers. It’s foliage reminds me of a chrysanthemum – both the leaf shape and the fragrance when crushed. It’s one of those plants with a lot of subtle details paired with a bold overall form.
