Well, it’s been over a year since I came to Oregon. I’m working on posting all the entries from the last 365 days. It’s slow going, editing my choppy notes and sorting through (virtual) mountains of photos. Meanwhile, I started reading Vita Sackville-West’s In Your Garden. It’s so exciting to read her weekly articles, published in the 1940s in The Observer. Her voice is so sure, her vision energetic and clear. Most of the plants she mentions grow well in zone 7/8, many are ones I’ve learned this year.

About Mulysa

I love my work as a landscape designer and artist. When I'm not planning homesteads or working in the studio, you'll find me hiking, photographing, gardening, baking, cooking vegetarian meals with friends, reading and working on sustainability issues...with my baby on my hip in Portland, Oregon.
