Pesticide free neighborhoods and parks

Are you interested in going pesticide-free in your yard? Or encouraging neighbors to quit toxic chemicals? Do you dream of pesticide-free parks for kids and pets to play?

Bring your dreams, ideas and questions to the Sustainable Overlook meeting this Thursday, May 23rd, 6:30 pm at The Hop and Vine on N. Killingsworth and Denver Ave.

We’ll be discussing ways to help interested neighbors go pesticide-free and my vision of pesticide-free Overlook – the whole neighborhood! Especially our parks! Municipalities in Canada, Europe and a few in the US have shown it can be done. What would it take to accomplish that in our own neck of the woods?

Also on the informal agenda are events and classes being planned throughout the summer and fall.

Everyone welcome!
