What a fabulous thing to have in the house this time of year. Just staring into the huge blooms should provide a Vitamin D boost, even if the sun is still nowhere to be seen. This plant blooms every year for over a month and just needs average light and not too much water. It’s a pretty plant the rest of the year too. But I’ve gone on about before – it was plant of the day in March 2009 and I talked about its origin back in 2005 when I had no plants to take care of except in my apartment.
