Planting

I started seeds today:

Tomatillo ‘Toma verde’

Tomatoes
‘First Lady’
‘Fourth of July’
‘Tigerella’
‘Green Zebra’
‘Bloody Butcher’
‘Early Girl’

I choose tomato varieties from the seeds I had on hand, based on the number of days from transplanting till harvest. All of these varieties mature in less than 60 days.

Cherry Tomato
‘Peacevine’
‘Chadwick’

Some flowers:
Mexican Torch, Tithonia rotundifolia – This fits well with the garden colors
Balsam, Impatiens balsamina – a double Victorian variety called ‘Camellia-flowered’ because I couldn’t resist. I’ll plant it under the rain barrel spouts. It’s a brightly colored tropical annual – maybe it will coordinate? We’ll just have to find out.

Also:
Alpine Strawberries ‘Baron Solemacher’

That was all the space I had in two 72-cell trays.
