The Display Garden’s Last Day

edible_garden_ygp.jpg

The last day of the show, Sunday, is the day I realize the display garden only exists for three days and all the work the design team and crews did over the last three months will be dismantled and recycled. I want to photograph the whole garden again, to try to somehow save it. But it has done it’s job, I hope, by giving the team and crew an unprecedented opportunity to collaborate, by delighting show visitors and inspiring them to incorporate sustainable elements into their own garden, by introducing people to new-to-them plants that are as hardy and easy as they are beautiful and interesting. Well, onward..

About Mulysa

I love my work as a landscape designer and artist. When I'm not planning homesteads or working in the studio, you'll find me hiking, photographing, gardening, baking, cooking vegetarian meals with friends, reading and working on sustainability issues...with my baby on my hip in Portland, Oregon.
