One in Ten Auction

August 19 – 24

My best friend’s mother had a cerebral hemorrhage on June 4th, and was in the hospital for over a month, including 3.5 weeks in ICU and two brain surgeries. Luckily, she came through it all and is at home now, and is expected to make a full recovery within a year.

However, insurance will not cover a great deal of the costs. The auction of handmade things will help cover hospital bills. ‘One in Ten’ refers to the chance of surviving this type of medical emergency.

There are great things in the auction, including a rag rug by my mom, some beautiful clothing, linens and artwork. Take a look: One in Ten
