Crataegus ‘Crimson Cloud’

ROSACEAE, The Rose family

On many parking strips throughout the city, the very pretty pink flowering hawthorn is blooming. Deep pink flowers contrast with dark green leaves. The bark has deep vertical furrows that remind me of the muscle-like trunk of the Carpinus, but much craggier. They grow to 25′ x 25′.

About Mulysa

I love my work as a landscape designer and artist. When I'm not planning homesteads or working in the studio, you'll find me hiking, photographing, gardening, baking, cooking vegetarian meals with friends, reading and working on sustainability issues...with my baby on my hip in Portland, Oregon.
